Studio Manager/Assistant

3 month internship openings for a Studio Manager to join a small startup studio in St Kilda.

We help businesses communicate their brands identity to the people who matter the most. Through visual communication design, we empower brands across the globe to create deep connections, communicate a message, provoke thought and inspire action.

Our specialty is in brand identity creation, graphic design and art direction.
We work with established small to medium businesses who believe in the power of design. 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assistant to the Creative Director;

  • General office administration such as responding to studio enquiries;

  • Project Management;

  • Updating marketing collateral;

  • Assist team in branding workshops (Organising, preparing, setting up, note taking);

  • Assist Creative Director in developing project briefs for team;

  • Conducting research on both internal and client projects;

  • Opportunity to contribute to branding projects and creative direction;

  • Develop and manage client satisfaction survey post project (short survey);

  • Maintain and update website, blog and social media accounts;

  • Allocate and manage project budgets and track time;

  • Liaise between the client and internal team ensuring project is on schedule and meeting requirements;

  • Ensure workflow of all projects;

  • Develop and manage project schedules (timelines and milestones);

  • Lead onboarding of new clients, employees, freelancers and interns;

  • Contribute to ongoing fine tuning of workflow/processes (e.g. process documentation);

  • Coordinate meetings, lunches, events, project close-out celebrations, etc.

  • Highly organised;

  • Great time management skills and comfortable multitasking;

  • An interest in design and branding;

  • Willingness to learn;

  • Ability to take initiative and make the position your own;

  • Confident, self motivated and a positive attitude;

  • Must be reliable, professional and considerate;

  • High regard for quality, and strong communication skills (verbal and written) are essential;

  • Great with people and well presented;

  • A strong attention to detail and dedication to quality assurance;

  • Honesty, integrity and possessing strong work ethics are part of your core values.

Skills needed:

  • Proficient in using Google Apps, Microsoft Office and comfortable using Adobe InDesign in a Mac environment;

  • Experience using Squarespace (or willingness to learn) is a bonus;

  • Other creative abilities a bonus.

Would suit a recent graduate in marketing and design or a related field.
